There has to be some incredibly logical reason we have not seen Muse DLC.

If HMX ever confirms it, the fans will be eagerly awaiting until it drops. If HMX is for whatever reason barred from Muse DLC, they would never reveal as such for fear of losing potential customers.

I too want some Muse songs much more than some bands who have zero songs in-game, but I've lowered my expectations to dormant-level excitement.
AsianSteev: if you can read this, put more Ska songs on the RBN! Please?

Just because there's no 300-page forum thread doesn't mean there's no demand for other bands. Three Days Grace in particular are pretty high up on the Facebook app (#10 as of this post). If a band's last appearance predates European Rock Band 1, or if they're completely new to the platform, their fans have been waiting longer than the Moar Muse crowd, even if they're not as vocal.

Now Three Days Grace is on Rock Band as well. I am officially going out on a limb saying that Muse is the most wanted band to be more represented on RB.

Like RockBandRocker, I fear that the longer HMX takes to release more Muse songs that the interest will have waned since the band has become a joke in the community.

WHY SHOULD THE MUSERS BE BLAMED FOR HMX'S IGNORANCE?

Actually, I think I'd respect HMX more if they made a statement/comment. When the Guitar Hero series manages to get 8 Muse songs (across the board) and Rocksmith (a game with no name or reputation) gets 2 Muse songs for their disc, there is obviously something wrong with HMX's end of the deal.

If HMX came out and said something like:

    - "We tried licensing Muse, but the songs we want are exclusive to Guitar Hero until December 21, 2012"

    - "We licensed some Muse tracks, but unfortunately the stems we requested were destroyed in the London riots"

    - "We asked for some Muse songs, but Matt Bellamy laughed and widdly-woo'd the Kaoss pad of his red glitter guitar in our faces"

it would increase my respect for HMX. As it is now, they have me on a chain week in and week out, month in and month out and (yes) year in and year out, hoping that "THIS will be the week Muse is announced as DLC". We know (or at least have enough circumstantial evidence) why HMX can't get other highly requested bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, they could at least give us an inkling on what is stopping Muse coming back to Rock Band.
May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?

There is a difference between being demanding and being disrespectful.

One of them is OK. The other can get you a time-out here on the official Rock Band forums.

    Just friendly reminder.

I get your point. I am sorry for any bad vibes I may have caused. I'm just tired of sitting in the dark and waiting.

Hopefully we'll get something when they sing at the Summer Olympics in London.

Or when they new album comes out.

If not all hope is lost.

They don't do that. Nobody does. If they make a statement on the lack of Moar Muse, does that mean we're also owed an explanation on the lack of The Rolling Stones and Nightwish and Radiohead and "Weird Al" Yankovic and Three Days Grace? How do you even speculate on the lack of Three Days Grace (or Everclear or Rick Astley or Bush) without raising the question as to why we do have them now?
