I personally love that the song doesn't have a chorus after the verses and puts guitar solos there instead.

While I do think "Butterflies & Hurricanes" would've been a better Muse song for the Olympics, "Survival" is good for what it is.


Plus, we get to hear it all over the coverage of the Olympics, so I have another reason to watch the games a part from the hot athletes. Also, I've heard Muse will be playing at the closing ceremonies. I hope it's live and not "live".

This will never die till we get more Muse songs haha If only we got like a 6 or 9 packs with the major songs, I'd be content, of course I'll want more but still would love songs like Knights of Cydonia, Uno, and Butterflies & Hurricanes.

I'd be pretty content waiting 4 or so more years for Muse again if we would just get "Knights Of Cyndonia" with dat harmonies.. "Plug In Baby" would be the best, too. Though I find it extremely unlikely that if Muse ever returned we wouldn't get more than a 3-pack.

Out of a 50 minute album, that's short and nothing to be sad about. It also contains the strings heard in the trailer, since that is the song in the trailer.

Plus, it's all done with real instruments, so it's not THAT big a deal. It's also one song on a 13 track album, of which 2 tracks are nothing like it ("Prelude" and "Survival" already having been premiered).
