    my guitar teacher wanted me to learn assassin first off my muse book I bought

    I taught myself how to read tabs, but I am a slow learner and I cannot get chord changes down


    However, I learned the bassline to starlight

    the first part to exo-politics

    thats about it though

    Ah. I taught myself chords and chord changes first, then tried to play songs with single notes and so forth.

    One of my favorites when I was learning chords was City of Delusion.

    Did you just learn to play the song by ear?

    And what effect pedals do you use to not make Muse songs sound terrible?

    I didn't learn by ear, a friend knew the chords and told me what they were. I don't know how he got hold of the tab, or if it is online.

    Well, I have a Fuzz Factory now, and a digitech whammy, so I can pretty much emulate what Matt is doing. City of Delusions intro on guitar has no effects on it other as far as I know.

    Fuzz Factory + Digitech Whammy = most songs sound pretty much correct.

    idk if I can even get a pedal or whammy bar onto my guitar
