I say, we write them or e-mail them or something convincing them to put the album out for rock band.

Yay! Gratz on 500 everyone! Too bad I wasn't here for it

    PAX update #3

Soooooo I wasn't planning on going back to PAX on Sunday because I felt that I'd seen everything there is to see. However, when I woke up on Sunday morning I just had this feeling that I should go back. Not really sure why but I followed the feeling. Good thing I did because I saw some pretty awesome stuff! I'll just post the RB relevant stuff.

I went by myself this time so I got a chance to really poke around without feeling like I had to keep someone entertained. I wandered over to the GHWT booth to get a good look at the instruments. The drums, which looked pretty good in the pictures, are waaaay too small in real life. I understand them trying to make them look more like real drums with the cymbals and the fake bass drum front but with someone sitting at them they just look ridiculous.

Then, I moseyed over to the RB2 booth and watched for a little while. I saw someone play Silversun Pickups and that got me re-excited for having them in the game. Then, to my surprise, Darkest of the Hillside Thickets hopped up on stage and played their song Shhh....! It was pretty cool! The drummer had never played RB before so he was struggling a bit.

After they were done, they started to hop off stage but Dave Gro-er, Sean from HMX got their attention and had them stay on stage for a photo op. After the photo, Sean stayed around talking with a couple people which gave me the chance to approach him and talk to him about a few things. It was like a do-over of Saturday! So I talked to him for a while about the presentation yesterday and the evolution of their games, about keeping true to the music, about working for HMX, etc. and then, just for you guys, I brought up Muse and our thread we've got here. First, I apologized for what I was about to ask him because I'm sure that over the last three days he's had more people ask him "Why isn't [blank] in Rock Band!?" but I felt like I had to ask because it was my only chance to. So I ask him, "Is there any chance that we could get more Muse songs in Rock Band?" He said that he's not sure about what's coming down the pipe but he would love to see more of their stuff in the game. "They've got a lot of really good songs that would be awesome in RB. I'd love it if we could get them to give us more songs."

I didn't expect any concrete evidence of upcoming DLC but it's nice to hear some positive feedback! So don't give up hope! There's still plenty of Tuesdays coming!

As much as I enjoy bashing bands I like, if you go and say a band is bad, you better either have a reason, or be ready to join the blacklist.

Saying "I hate band xxyyzz" is very different than "band xxyyzz is awful".

And this thread is one place I am NOT ok with people flaming each other about non Muse bands.
    The PR transmissions will resume.

Why restrict it to non-Muse bands? I don't think anyone should be flaming each other in here about ANY band.
    ...Especially Muse.

By the way, nice avatar. When did you change it?

    I just changed the avatar.

At least Muse flaming is on-topic. Off-topic flaming is an easy way to get a thread closed.

Regardless, try to keep the band flaming to a minimum.

First of all. CAKE, not Cake, nor cake. Can somebody find a valid email for Muse? Not just some automated drop box, but a manager or something. Then we could bury them in Rock Band requests.
