Solos like that are few and far between.

I hope you're talking about some live version or something, 'cause it's not really anything special. Sounds like a common Tech-Death riff.

If you only consider the actual solo tab, then maybe.

But a solo isn't just about what notes are played. The entire song is building to that climax. How it stands out compared to the rest of the song matters far more than what notes and how fast they are played. Technical Death metal is all about showing off how many notes can be played as fast as possible. Invincible is quite the cleverly arranged song,

Generally you aren't going to find a riff with that much consonance either, certainly not in death metal.

I'm not familiar with much death - tech besides Nile and Opeth, but generally nothing going for a 'metal' sound is going to stick to a slow major-scale chord progression during a solo, they are going to be all over the place, either chromatic or full of accidentals.

i really wish assassin was on rock band instead of guitar hero. that is easily the best song on guitar hero.

I dunno man. even if I was a UbEr SuPeR dE dUpEr Muse fan I would'nt call that song "Fun". I mean, Contstant fast strumming the WHOLE SONG!?! just because a song sounds good doesn't mean it belongs in a music rhythm game. I think that their are much better muse songs that could have been used on GHWT than Assasin, which in turn means their are much better songs already on GHWT. my opinion but I believe its fair.

Also I had the most brilliant idea the other day: If we can't get Muse DLC HMX MUST give us a Fuzz Factory type fuzz in the effects selection for the guitar in RB3 so we can at least sound like Matt.
