I am one achievement away from 1000 gamerscore in rock band 2. Wish me luck on the Bladder of Steel tomorrow

Without wanting to sound aloof, I have never played the game. I walked past Linkin Park's dressing room once and saw them playing it, moshing to a Metallica track or something. I lost touch with gaming since I spent 7 days addicted to 'Monkey Island 2' on an Amiga in the early 90s. Nothing seems to have drawn me in since then (apart from a 48 hour stretch with Dom on Splinter Cell during the recording of Absolution). Regarding commercial use I am not as precious as some, especially with older or lesser known material. If it gets heard I am happy but always ensure usage is respectful. Matt.
I can't make a lick of sense out of this. And its 2 am as I am typing this and my brain probably isn't turned on

Thats the only album its on yes, but it's a live version. The studio version is available as a double A-Side with a second song called 'In Your World' which, like every Muse song, is top class.

EDIT: Yeah that guy's pretty good, I learned a bit from watching that; there was always this bit in the chorus of Hysteria that annoyed me because the official tab didn't sound much like the real version. Good use of FX pedals too. But he'll never be a substitute for Matt, I'm sure he'd agree!

LOL wow, I'm the one who nominated My Bloody Valentine for the poll and oddly enough it's actually putting up a fight. Yay shoegaze, even if MBV loses I'll still love Muse. I think we can say MBV and Muse have a common enemy in REM. Go M bands!

EDIT: Nvm different poll, though I could've sworn I did enter for an extremely similar poll. D:
Now I'm conflicted on who to vote for...

EDIT 2: Actually what happened was I nominated MBV in the original poll and apparently from what I gather that 2nd current poll was made.

So I like a lot of Americans have been living under a rock as far as Muse goes. I only just recently began listening to them and have in just under three months devoured their entire catalog. The only album I don't get a strong connection to is Showbiz. Origins and Black Holes being my favorites.

It took me a while to get used to Bellamy's sharp intakes of breath between verses, but now I kind of find it endearing. It's funny how quickly they have dominated my music listening. I have not reacted this way to a band since the first time I heard Nirvana and U2.

Why have Muse never really caught on big here in the States?

I imagine the lack of video play and time on the radio. The only video I catch on occasion is Knights of Cydonia on Fuse and most of the time it's quite LATE at night. And whenever they do play Muse on the radio it's always Starlight on the alternative stations (though I imagine with Twilight Supermassive Black Hole will be getting a lot of air time on both alternative and pop stations).

The sad thing is that I think Muse is going to get trendy with Twilight and thusly dropped once whatever force the fad has wears off (which is both good and bad since Muse go back to being a band under the popularity radar). Double edged sword I'm afraid. Then again there are still more Twilight movies to be made and the author is always pushing Muse on her readers (I heard she requested Matt to compose a song relevant to the plot of the story but that request fell through and someone else ended up doing it instead).

As for Showbiz give it some time That was the last album for me to get into and once it did it's been welcome in my daily rotation of Muse. I suggest checking out the live versions of the songs, those will help a bit, I recommend checking out live versions of Muscle Museum, Sunburn, and Showbiz.

I voted for My Bloody Valentine myself, since Muse will likely have many more opportunities while this may be the only time MBV gets enough votes. Only Shallow FTW!
Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.
