Glorious and overwhelming. Thanks for the welcome! Muse are now officially on my list of bands to more fully check out. I have a lot of other stuff to check out first, but I'll report back here in a month or two when I get another album or two by them. Good luck getting more Muse in the game, in the meantime.

    Good Luck with London Calling

Also the glorious thing was a Muse joke reference for those who got it

For the first time, I am listening to "Origin of Symmetry". I've always been a bit wary of it, since it has that reputation of taking a lot of influence from Radiohead. I can definitely hear it, but I definitely like it for it's own merits.

Also, I looked back the last two pages (I have 40 posts per page), and didn't see anything like this. If you were in charge of Harmonix song selection, what would be the one Muse song most suited for a disc song?

I personally like doing these, since you have to look past your personal favorite, and find the one most suited for the game, sort of.

I'm torn between New Born, Plug in Baby, possibly anything else on Origin (haven't heard it all yet), Time is Running Out, City of Delusion, or Map of the Problematique.

To be honest, all the decent songs have been released by GH sadly. So I don't see much of a point of having them on here

I still think Starlight would be the best song to release just cause it's got a mainstream appeal to it that'll probably help it rack up more downloads.

However, there are plenty of other songs that would fit that mold in Knights of Cydonia and Time is Running Out. Personally I would love to have New Born or Citizen Erased for their guitar solos and vocals, those would definitely be challenging for players.

Without wanting to sound aloof, I have never played the game. I walked past Linkin Park's dressing room once and saw them playing it, moshing to a Metallica track or something. I lost touch with gaming since I spent 7 days addicted to 'Monkey Island 2' on an Amiga in the early 90s. Nothing seems to have drawn me in since then (apart from a 48 hour stretch with Dom on Splinter Cell during the recording of Absolution). Regarding commercial use I am not as precious as some, especially with older or lesser known material. If it gets heard I am happy but always ensure usage is respectful. Matt.
More obscure tracks for rock band? Hyper Music PLEASE

Are they bigger in Europe than they are here stateside?
Muse are HUGE here in Europe, just to let you know, in 2007 they sold out the new Wembley Stadium two nights in a row, 90.000 people in each night (and the tickets weren't cheap), the 1st show sold out in December 2006 (the concert was in 16 june 2007) so they were "forced" to do another show the next day!!
The week after they sold out the "Parc des Princes" Stadium in Paris

    I don't think they will...

The new album should be released somewhere around May (here's hoping for a Muse Pack or album near the release of the new album) and then they will be touring in Europe I guess... maybe in 2010 they will tour the States... at least this is my guess!

I would love to see Muse live. I'm also curious about the new album... I think Absolution is my favorite so far, even though Black Holes is much more acclaimed.

Also, here, we have to deal with Muse's nickname. "Those guys who wrote the Twilight song".

    Ugh.
