All right, so I'm not sure how many people have read this, but this was pretty interesting stuff I found on the official Muse forums. Here's a quote from the Q&A section:
Considering you've graced Guitar Hero twice, have you ever failed playing your own song assuming you've played the game itself and how do you feel about the commercial use of your music?

Without wanting to sound aloof, I have never played the game. I walked past Linkin Park's dressing room once and saw them playing it, moshing to a Metallica track or something. I lost touch with gaming since I spent 7 days addicted to 'Monkey Island 2' on an Amiga in the early 90s. Nothing seems to have drawn me in since then (apart from a 48 hour stretch with Dom on Splinter Cell during the recording of Absolution). Regarding commercial use I am not as precious as some, especially with older or lesser known material. If it gets heard I am happy but always ensure usage is respectful. Matt.
I thought you guys might like to see this. Oh, also, here's a link to the Q&A section. There are some seriously awesome answers in there! Share your favorites! I thought the answer to question 1 by Matt was just awesome.

Actually atm I'm thinking:
Easily (chorus is incredible, probably my favorite Muse song- anyone have an mp3 of it? no. seriously.)
The Groove (one of the first Muse songs I liked, awesome main riff)
Glorious (vocals make me cry)
Citizen Erased (epic, epic, epic- also one of the best choruses ever)
Knights of Cydonia (must be from HAARP, I realized this morning that the studio version is crap)
Showbiz (probably one of the best vocal performances of all time)
Crying Shame (just discovered this awesome b-side, I freaking love the guitar riff)
Dark Shines (extermely underrated, another amazing chorus)
Muscle Museum (preferably a live version, but either way this is a great song)
Invincible (verse after solo. nuff said)
So I guess there's my ten pack right now. And yes I am still working on my every Muse song list, I made some serious headway in Physics today.
P.S. Easily is absolutely brilliant.
NopeNothing on Rock Band specifically, just Guitar Hero. Luckily Matt's answer was a pretty broad statement about licensing music in general, so I think it pretty much pertains to Rock Band as well. It sounds like as long the music is licensed in a tasteful or respectful way, he's open to it, so that's a good sign.
We have Hysteria which is a better choice than GHWT's Assassin.
I'd prefer if Muse were to have a song on rb3 that it'd be like Hyper Music and have the songs like Knights of Cydonia, etc be DLC
^If any new Muse came to Rock Band it would be epic, even Starlight.
I know, but Hyper Music is my favorite song. Any Muse would come to rock band. I'd jump for a joy a lot. If Hyper Music came, I WOULD GO AROUND MY SCHOOL JUMPING UP AND DOWN UNTIL I GOT BEATEN UP A LOT. BUT STILL BE HAPPY!
Edit: Just fresh off of Microcuts. Rumor of a September release date. From Warner. Plus Euro tour after that.

I'm not buying this without a credible source.
