Isn't there a venue in Rock Band called Stockholm Syndrome? Is Harmonix giving us a subtle hint that we will be seeing a whole lot of Muse in the future? *whistles Twilight Zone theme*

I've never liked the mellow(100% throughout) muse songs. I personally really do not like them, but the more powerful muse I love.
I'd vote for:
Stockholm Syndrome
Newborn
Time is Running Out
Knights of Cydonia
My friend once called the Muse "Mini-Radiohead" and I agree to a certain extent. Granted, both bands are amazing and unique in their own ways, but I do kind of see what he means by that, lol. Sounds contradictory, I know...
Anyway, I'm only mentioning this to you because, seeing how you don't know too many Muse songs, and you are a fan of Radiohead (I know so through your Radiohead requests posts, and you sig), and me being an avid listener of both those bands, I think you would very much enjoy the Muse.
I was introduced to the Muse through the album "Absolution" (which I thought was their 1st album, lol). Loved it so much that I went and purchased "Origin of Symmetry" (their 2nd album). Loved THAT one and then I bought "Showbiz" (their 1st album).
Muse has been together since they were like 14! Both Radiohead and Muse have not changed their line up since they've formed... And here is something else that should interest you:
"First EPs and Showbiz (1998–2000)
After a few years building a fan base.........(etc etc etc)
Despite the minor success of their second EP, British record companies were reluctant to back Muse, and many sections of the music industry asserted that, like many of their contemporaries, their sound was too similar to that of Radiohead. However, American record labels were keen to sign them, flying Muse out to the U.S. first class for corporate auditions. They signed with Maverick Records on December 24, 1998. Upon their return from America, Taste Media arranged deals for Muse with various record labels in Europe and Australia, allowing them to maintain control over their career in individual countries.
John Leckie, who had produced the influential The Bends by Radiohead, the Stone Roses, "Weird Al" Yankovic and The Verve, was brought in to produce the band's first record, Showbiz. The album showcased the band's soft style, and the lyrics made reference to the difficulties they had encountered while trying to establish themselves in Teignmouth.[4][5]
The release of this album was followed by tour support slots for Savage Garden in the United States. 1999 and 2000 saw Muse playing major festivals in Europe and gigs in Australia, accumulating a considerable fan base in Western Europe, particularly in France."

I always heard about that comparisons between Muse and Radiohead but I can't see that many similarities, I like some Radiohead musics but I'm not a fan, Muse I love I think Muse as much more powerful sound, they have the more obscure songs like Radiohead (more depressing) but got many many power songs that I don't see in Radiohead!
For the post of Knights_of_Ni about the Stockholm Syndrome, the venue is actually called Stockholm Synthdrome to toy with the psychologic phenomenon Stockholm Syndrome (is when the hostages develop a identity with the kidnappers and often try to defend them in court) and a Synthesizer... unfortunately it isn't a tease from HMX![]()

I never understood that comparison either.
I only own OK Computer to be fair, but it didn't 'strike' me the same way Black Holes & Revelations did.
I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, but I was a Muse-virgin until I heard Starlight on Pandora. Then I bought the album. Then I bought the other 3. Then I went to their Philly Festival Pier concert. Then I bought the singles and B-sides. Then I pissed off everyone around me by playing nothing but Muse. Then I heard about Knights being on GH3. Then I drooled and waiting impatiently.
Now I find myself in the same boat with Rock Band! PLEASE give us fans what we desire!!!
Harmonix - Any one of us that has posted in this thread is more than willing to purchase any release you decide on... whether it's a single, 3-pack, album or their entire discography including B-sides, rares, live concerts and demos (dreams are my friend)!
Hysteria, Hysteria, Hysteria.![]()
My local rock station here in nyc did a "top 10 from the U.S and the U.K." show, late at night back in 2003-2004 or so... The #1 song on the U.K. on the night that I heard the broadcast happened to be butterflies and hurricanes by muse..
Needless to say I was hooked after that. I had chills listening to that song for the first time, and I couldn't believe their talent. Muse on RB is pretty much inevitable.. they're too good to omit.
Yeah 1st post but I browsed through the others and none if any mention some of the B-sides.
Sure these are amazing songs:
Stockholm Syndrome
Hysteria
Knights of Cydonia
Plug In Baby (Voted to have one of the greatest Riffs of all time)
Time is Running out
But I want all you Muse heads to listen to these if you haven't (Not all B-sides)
Coma
In Your World (Must Have In Game!)
Dead Star (Personally my favorite B-side)
Assassin
House of the Rising Sun (yes its a cover, but a great one)
New Born (sure it's a long intro with no guitar bass & very little drums but worth it)
Hyper Music
Agitated
Easily
Crying Shame
The Groove
Jimmy Kane
Exo-Politics
Post Your thoughts when & if Any of you people have listened to these great songs. But the Point is this Game needs some of the Powerful Epic Legendary music from one of todays Greatest bands. Not only are they Original & Unique. But they have what the game requires.
1. Vocals (Bellamy's amazing voice)
2. Guitar (Most contain Bellamy's unique/difficult/great guitar)
3. Bass heavy (Brought by Chris)
4. Difficult Drums (By sir Dom)
Bump this thread & push for Muse in this game. It can only make this game better.
(This is Just a copy & Paste of my old thread, which isn't as big as this one so I dropped that one & helped this one already well on the way)
