The reason RB isn't seeing any Muse as DLC is because the band is very strict and particular when it comes to them licensing their music. They shy away from it in most case, but for some reason have taken a great liking to the Guitar Hero brand, and has started a partnership of sorts with thier camp.

    - Knights of Cydonia
    - Stockholm Syndrome
    - Super massive Black Hole
    - Exo-Politics
    - Assassin
    - (confimed for GH5)

Also, due to a ratings board leak, there is really great speculation and belief (the same thing happened with Ted Nuggent and Zakk Wylde in GHWT, and it was proven true) that Matt Bellamy (along with Shirley Manson of Garbage) will be making appearances in game. If this is true (which I'm pretty sure it will be), expect a lot of Muse content to make it's way to GH, while RB may be left out to dry (sadly).

    1. Muse aren't strict at all, they said in the message board Q&A that they're happy with licensing their music if it means fans will be able to enjoy their music and appreciate it. Albeit they have been keen on GH but that doesn't mean its because of a strict licensing policy.

    2. We already know that Matt is going to be involved with Guitar Hero 5 one way or another and we've been spreading that info like crazy (or at least I have).

    Oh, woe is me.

Man, I wish Muse was like Green Day, and would make themselves exclusive to Rock Band. BAH I SAY.... BAH! I'm getting so freaking tired of waiting for Muse on Rock Band. Also, I don't want Green Day's newer punk sellout American Idiot/21st Century Breakdown stuff either.

HARMONIX give us a freaking sign that you're at least trying get us some Muse, something better a than a poll. If I was Harmonix I would've tried my hardest to get some Muse during the whole Twilight craze, even if they had to pay extra money to Warner Bros I would've done it, because it most likely would've been payed back tenfold thanks to that stupid vampire flick.

neckermanncj you're right Origin of Symmetry is their best album. Absolution could have been best if they would've had Fury and The Groove on the album.

ylowbstard I kinda agree with your post that we might be SOL, but Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins and Hayley Williams of Paramore were also in GH:WT as in game characters and they don't seem to be exclusive, and as The_Little_Buster said Muse is not as anal you make them out to be. I still think that it mostly deals with the Warner Bros Music factor more than anything, because I think Activision will pay for anything where EA/Harmonix won't unless its something huge like The Beatles.

(Yep, Origin of Symmetry is the best MUSE album, and I doubt anyone would disagree. Absolution is pretty close, but there's some filler. The Groove is one of their best songs, and should have definately been on Absolution.)

I'm definately wasn't trying to make them look anal. I was just stating what I had read in a few different articles about their licesing policies. As for the whole Warner Bros. thing, your probably right.

    Green Day are on WMG
Green Day have made an exclusivity deal with Harmonix.
Meaning WMG have made a strong deal with Harmonix.
I think this means the HMX vs WMG row (if there ever was one) is now definitely over.
This paves the way for Muse to be in Rock Band

Absolution used to be my fave Muse album, then BHR but now I've been settled on OoS for a while. The tracks just seem more, i dunno, inventive and always drive forward. Whilst i think Absolution has the most catchy sing along tracks, there just doesn't seem to be the depth beneath the songs to make the album as memorable and moving a listen as Oos.
    DLC Wishlist
    MUSE
    Feeder
    Audioslave
    Radiohead
    By The Way full album
    Smashing Pumpkins
    RATM
    Biffy Clyro

So happy to hear that. Let's get the Muse train rolling Harmonix.

You paint a grim picture sir. As much as I hate what Activision is doing to the game industry, I have to say that I'm probably going to pick up GH5, especially if Matt's gonna be in it. It will make me sad but I'd do it. Maybe I'll wait and buy it used. I'd rather give my money to Gamestop than let Bobby Kotick have anything more.

OoS is probably their best album but I'm still partial to Absolution. And to be honest, if I made a favorites list it'd go Absolution, BH&R, OoS, Showbiz, Hullaballoo. OoS may be better overall but I have emotional attachments to Absolution and BH&R.
