Shouldn't Take a Bow be aimed more at Tony Blair than "A past President?"

Well, technically, sure. But I think its intent is clearly closer to home.
    The PR transmissions will resume.

I'm aware of that but USA college students won't be aware of the reasoning behind the attack on Blair, plus more or less Blair tied in with Bush so the shoe would still fit either way.

@ Little_Buster: "Take A Bow" can be about BOTH Bush and Blair.

I'm a U.S. college student, and I knew that the first time I heard it. It is more directed at Blair, but people in the U.S. (given their feelings about Bush) adopted it to be about him.

Although, to be fair, the song is written in such a way that it can be about ANY politician that has f**ked up their country and f**ked the people they were elected to lead.

One can also draw a link between "Take A Bow", "Map of the Problematique", "Assassin" and "Knights of Cydonia".

Personally, I like to think Absolution and Black Holes and Revelations are connected (I hope The Resistance continues that theory).

    It's a weird explanation.

The short of it is that if you listen to both albums from start to finish, back to back, you get a feeling that they are in the same "universe".
