Since I'm starting to lose track, I went through and highlighted all our releases that have made it to PS3 (their catalog numbers are in blue). And freshly added to that list, our first RBN2.0 song (and the first RBN2.0 song with harmonies), "28 Days" by Mafia Track Suit! That'll be available on PS3 on the 11th.

WOO, more His Statue Falls! Any word on if they are interested in adding more songs since they have a newer album? Don't get me wrong though, the Collisions album IMO is their best work, especially "Capital H, Capital O". Still, it would be nice to know that they are interested in adding more songs.

Preview Videos:
Mutiny on the Bounty - Artifacts (Indie Rock, 2012)
Goin' Places - You're Living in a Dream World (Punk, 2012)
Those Among Us - Final Destination (Rock, 2012)
A trio of previews put together to beat the Christmas deadline for new tracks. We'll have a few more coming together in the new year, but this'll be it from us for the year. So I suppose a little 'state of the union' is in order.
2011 was a pretty big year for us, thanks to a batch of big-name video game soundtracks and plenty of new partnerships. Most of our biggest tracks hit the market over that year, including most of our PS3 selections. So obviously we weren't going to top that. And, we didn't!
But, 2012 was more about branching out. Not just with the music we released- our first tracks under soul, math rock, latin, and so on- but new projects like the Indie Allstars. Some of it succeeded. Giraffes? Giraffes! is one of our biggest hits lately, Jeremy Manjorin and Leche de Tigre had surprise hits, and Goin' Places is queued up to be our biggest single band so far. Some of it.... not so much. We had a few underwhelming releases, and the Indie Allstars didn't work out quite as desired.
All in all, 2012 wasn't the best year. Partly because of the competition with 2011, partly because of difficulties over the year. It's been a pretty transformative year for me personally, which has taken a lot of time and effort away from Fairwood Studios on the whole. That sort of distraction was inevitable, though, and I'm glad it happened when it all did. And it's looking like 2013 will be a bit better in terms of time and energy that can go towards Fairwood Studios.
What's planned for 2013? Obviously we've got all the stuff we've announced but not released yet, that's all 2013 material. And I do already have stems and papers for a few unannounced tracks, along with negotiations rolling for a few artists people might actually recognize (gasp!). Of course, those won't be announced until they're ready to show off. But already in planning is everything from dubstep to folk rock, and I'm maintaining my mission to bring Rock Band all the great music it didn't know it wanted that I possibly can.
Also on tap- I have every intention of completing, releasing, and authoring my first album of original music! It's about bloody time. So if you're hoping for an announcement, I suppose I can say that Hop - "Troska" will be coming to RBN as soon as it manages to exist.
