And since everyone's distracted with sport right now, a bit of news and updates.

Effective today, I won't be accepting any new song submissions for authoring. That doesn't mean there won't be new announcements- there's one right under this- or that any songs already announced won't be finished. I'll still be plenty active, I just have too much of a backlog and too many projects being negotiated, so I need to do something to help thin it down.

And effective today, stop buying Welcome to Our Town. The RB3 version just passed, it'll be in the store Thursday!

So, new announcements? New announcements. Two tracks from two new bands, each coming from one of our label partners.

First, courtesy of Despotz Records, is the hat trick eponym I hinted at a while back (artist/song/album all named the same). In this case, they're all named Civil War. The band has some pretty heavy Iron Maiden influence, and it comes through pretty thoroughly here. Won't be anything too insane, but it'll be metal worth playing on vocals, which is always nice.

Second, another not-metal track from Redfield Records! This time, it's "Hospital Party" from Team Stereo, an alt/emo/punk/certainly not metal group. Sorry for the live video, it's all I can find, but even the studio version has a certain low-fi tint to it. It's also got exactly 8 notes of keys, so... who knows what'll happen there.

I love Stagehands and Goin Places. I hope Shizuku gets on soon and have you guys asked PArry Gripp/Jukebox the Ghost if you could do their music? Also, keep up the great work.

Now to watch people still buy the original and kinda shake my head to myself.

And based on the selection of Danny and the Lost Souls tracks making it to PS3, you people seem to prefer running to candy. Or love to soul. ...It's probably that one, everyone loves candy. Either way, "Keep on Running from My Love" will be on PS3 on Tuesday!
