Alright, time for one last batch of announcements. We're gonna go relatively quiet after RB3 comes out, at least until RBN2.0 is made available. So, this'll have to hold you over.
First off, have you checked out Super Meat Boy? Just came out today, pretty good, pretty tough. Notice the soundtrack? Liked it? ....See where I'm going with this?
Daniel Baranowsky has started work on three special remixes of tracks from Super Meat Boy, specifically for Rock Band Network. The mixes and names aren't finalized, but the base tracks have been decided. I've heard a bit of what he's planning to do so far, and... it's gonna be tough.
Press Release
Second, we're finally in a position where we can announce this. We've established a partnership with Ricochet Management, a California-based representative of many underground hardcore groups. Suicide Silence, whom they represent, already has made some RBN inroads, and we're getting our hands on several of Ricochet's other signed and unsigned clients. There's plans for several more, but to start with: Tennessee's Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza.
Press Release
Next, a batch of random songs. We've got a new rock group out of Wisconsin, Abraham Nixon, coming with their song "Secondary Gain". Little something in the Foo Fighters vein. We've also had a lot of interest from our past groups about RBN2.0, and just getting more songs out there in general. So if you're a fan of Highlord, Blue News, Those Among Us, or Lightwires, you can expect to see new material from them down the road.
So here's the full list:
- The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza - "Yippie-Kay-Yay Mother!@#$%^"
- The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza - "I Am Sammy Jankis"
- Abraham Nixon - "Secondary Gain"
- Highlord - "The Scream"
- Those Among Us - "Disco Ball"
- dB soundworks - Level 1 Boss Theme (Remix)
- dB soundworks - Level 2 Retro Theme (Remix)
- dB soundworks - Level 3 Theme (Remix)
- New singles by Blue News and Lightwires
And lastly, in non-song news, we're working with vVv Gaming to help spread word of our clients through the competitive scene, and their activities through the wider Rock Band community. So you'll see stuff connected to both of our groups in the future. And since TAG is starting to get their name out there on tracks, I'll mention that we're helping them out with authoring projects, so anything that we've worked out through TAG will get added to our proxy releases list as well. Not everything TAG does, just the stuff we had some hand in.

Awesome, really looking forward to more Highlord and Lightwires.
Also, must check out "Yippie-Kay-Yay Mother!@#$%^". Best song name ever.

Okay, I think we're all back and settled down and everything. Things are still a little crazy with the new game and all the changes, so here's a small update.
Runaway by Lyrics for Monday has hit the RBN store. Unfortunately, the lack of testability means we missed two tom flams, so it's not totally Pro Drums accurate.I'm kinda disappointed in myself for not catching that.

Oh well, on to other news: we've been working on a lot of songs behind the scenes, which we can't release yet for one reason or another. Since I hate going so long without showing people anything, I decided to sneak this little preview of Pressure Cooker. It is, as the title says, a rough cut- all the authoring is done, but arrangement decisions haven't been finalized and you can't see the keys chart yet. (There is a keys chart, which will explain the big gaps in the guitar chart.)
So, consider this a little tease: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rd_Dl5ktkVo
