Actually I was wondering if I could play without the game or the Amp

i believe what you want is an accoustic guitar then

you can play an electric guitar and hear the jangle of the strings, but i'd really recommend getting at least a cheap practice amp since learning can be tough in the first place and you don't want to have to start out handicapped.

The drums for this game are 100% bullcrap and you will be risking an injury. Air drumming does not work. You need something to bounce a stick off. Imagine trying to play Everlong on that thing.

Agreed, was not gonna buy this game for a long time, but after seeing the drums, it would be never, thats the stupidest thing I ahve ever seen ahppen to drums and the guitar looks stupid as well, (IMO) this game will fail.

yeah i just saw what they did

they overhauled the website this morning cuz that wasnt there yesterday

they were talking about drumming like the guitar was done but now....thats kinda sad

the game is unfortunately gonna fail when the standard now is full band minimum, but now its pretty much guitar/vocals(which hopefuly wont be blown too) which just isnt gonna be enough for most people to wanna make the plunge

They just made the press release on it today. Unfortunately people won't have much desire to buy a carpal-tunnel-repetitive-stress-injury-supplier machine.

I got to play Guitar Rising at GDC back in 2008. That was amazing. I was looking forward to it. But, well, we all know what happened with that. It faded away into the nether.

I hoped this would be something like that, but it isn't. It's a really stupid looking hybrid between GH/RB and Guitar Rising. Eh... Not interested at all at the moment. Maybe they'll change my mind, but I doubt it.

The GUI of the game looks meh...
The "drum" kit, ehm...
