Wolfmother reminds me of Led Zeppelin in many ways, from song structure to the sound itself. I hope they make a new album soon, it is definitly a great band with a good future.
The Zoutons I bet few people have heard of, but they are a good band with some great acoustic works, some weird songs that are kind of out there, and a good vocalist.
I also love Dragonforce, and I hope they keep doing what they do, create ridiculously fast and hard songs that we can barely follow.
1. Modest Mouse 2. Radiohead 3. Franz Ferdinand 4. The Killers 5. QOTSA
That list was based more on what i actually like than what was most influential.
1. Dave Matthews Band - released stuff before 2000, but popularity has continued to grow steadily in the 2000's. Very revolutionary; will be viewed as the Grateful Dead of the 2000's.
2. O.A.R. - Again, an immensly talented band that is gaining popularity. Has the potential to be as popular or more popular than Dave; probably has more "mainstream" potential. Also one of, if not the best live band you'll hear; they tend to play at college field house type of arenas, they have a really personal, intimate show and tear it up.
3. RHCP - Post 2000 I think they're one of the best bands ever, no matter the time period. We'll hear about them for years and years to come.
