    Question Xbox 360 Help needed

    I have a huge problem. So huge it has parts.
    Part 1 "The Begining": Back like a year and a half ago my friend sent me a message that said something like "Go to Xboxgen.com for free 1600 MS Points". Now this is a good friend of mine and I really trust him so I did that. At the website it kinda looked like the sign in page for xbox.com. So I signed in but nothing happend so I left it alone. Then I found out my friend had been hacked (btw he got his account back), that's when I start to worry. Fast foward 2 weeks and I'm at a friends house (he did the 90's part on my RB setlist) and I can't recover my account to his xbox. I stupidly think it's a glitch. So I make a new account and I use that at friends houses.
    Part 2 "Hacked" I look at my account settings and I see a unfamiliar e-mail. So fast foward another week and a failed atempt to talk to a Microsoft support team that bairly speaks English and works under the minimum wage (you know what I mean) my friend gets his account back and he said he fell under the same ruse. So my guess is that this was a high profile hacker who was arrested before he could completely recover my account because he a lot of accounts to recover. So I'm stuck with this e-mail and I've called Microsoft like 5 times since my friend got his account back. Each time I wait five hours till they say "We will research this further, we will email you when we are finished." and when they do I read the e-mail and it's like "We have completely researched your claim, and we have found nothing is wrong." My conclusion is that Microsoft is not going to help and I can't connect my account to sites like this one and Bungie.net.
    So, I was hoping in this huge community of gamers that somebody could help me or give me a suggestion or maybe someone from Microsoft might read this and fix my problem.

    Update: The reason I don't call Microsoft every day is because I have to wait litreally 3 hours before I get a final answer.

    You got phished.

    That sign-in page at Xboxgen or whatever isn't a sign-in at all. It instead took the information you input and forwarded it to someone (presumably the guy who then hijacked your account).

    With the e-mail and the password, this gives the person complete leeway to access and edit your account. Scammers usually do this to find accounts that have credit cards attached to them and buy up a ton of points. So yeah, it's free points... but not for the person to whom the account belongs.

    Call Xbox Live's support on an actual phone and tell them that your account was stolen by a scammer, then give them what information they ask for. They usually won't handle these kinds of cases through e-mail.

    1-800-4MY-XBOX. They speak English and are paid considerably more than minimum wage. Very helpful people unless you're rude to them.

    um yeah. that's what he said he done. sometimes when you do get in contact with cs, they do give you people who can barely speak english. it gets really annoying.

    Strange, I've never had any trouble with them.

    I thought maybe he had the wrong number and wound up with one of the outsourced Windows help lines, but either way, the phone people are the only ones that can fix it, so that's still what he needs to do.

    i've had it happen a couple times i needed them. it does get really annoying when you're trying to listen to them tell you what you need to do; then you can't understand a word that person says and has to ask "what" every 5 seconds.

    the one time i had to call to remove a credit card. the chick spoke english and got the credit card removed that night when it normally takes like 2 weeks.

    Yeah, if you do wind up with someone you can't understand, hanging up and calling back usually gets you someone else. I've had days where I wound up calling them quite a bit and never had the same person twice!

    most of the time i usually don't care. some other people will get annoyed with it.

    i also remember the day i just got fallout 3. played it for like 5 hours straight and then my 360 gets the e74 message on me. the guy i had that time spoke english, but it wasn't unbearable really at all. i think i actually liked his accent.

    but yeah, hanging up and calling back should stop it.

    I just wanted to add that I can still play my account on my Xbox but I can't use Windows Messenger, Connect my band (Epic American Cowboys), and my dad won't put his credit card back on my account which rules out games on demand and Final Fantasy 11. So in a nutshell I have tried to give all of the information you see here to Microsoft but I still have problems. And yes the Microsoft support team was indeed Indian. And I don't mean Indian American.

    Also to ShadowEclipse and AzureAngel17 I have called them 6 times and gotten different people each time, all of which I could barely understand but just enough to sorta notice what they were saying.

    In conclusion I will use the number they gave me before one last time useing this forum. That means I may or may not read your post to the people at xbox. So please keep posting with alternatives and good ideas, I will call Microsoft on June 29 if I dont get any better ideas.

    (P.S back when I gave away my password I really wanted the Heroic and Legendary map packs for Halo 3 but I didn't have any money.)
