Lego:RB on ps3

hi everyone.
I'm planning on buying l:rb , but my ps3 still has the 2.80 fw, so lego rock band works with this firmware or do i have to update it?

I believe it works, but without the latest firmware, you can't download any new DLC, or take advantage of any new feautures for the system.
I suggest downloading 3.40
