    Question of the Day: 2/10/11:
Now that Guitar Hero is "dead", what do you think? Good or bad for Rock Band? Will you miss it?

I still to this day remember playing Message in a Bottle on GH2, the first time I ever played GH. From there I went to GH3, then Rock Band, and the rest is history. I honestly don't know where I would be today without GH. Before then, I didn't listen to music. It has literally changed my life. I discovered thousands of songs indirectly through GH (and later RB), and today music is one of the biggest parts of my life. Yes, I know it was HMX that created the GH game I fell in love with, but this is still a sad moment. It's so weird because I've been looking forward to this day since 2007 when I first played RB, but now that it's finally here it's bittersweet. Though I haven't bought a GH game in 3 years, it's sad to know that the franchise that I loved so much at one time is over. But now it's all on HMX to shine and do what they do best, without any distractions.

Personally I don't mind that GH is gone. I've never owned a game of it and my only experiences of it is playing it with friends who have it. I didn't like it because I think that the GH games somewhat looked very cheap and unprofessional. It's sad for the people who worked on those games who will lose their jobs, but I have never bothered about their games.
On the Rock Band side it's good that the music game market now will be the market of only HMX. But it's bad on the other side that music games aren't selling well at this moment.

GH got me into music games and did help get me into music. The latter one even more so with RB. I stopped buying GH games because I thought they weren't as good as RB. Now that GH is gone I guess RB will just carry on from here. I feel bad about the people who lost their jobs, but Activision truly milked the genre and their franchise. It was bound to happen eventually. I think RB will be ok, and I think HMX will still try to innovate.

Finally someone else posted a question.I have GH warriors of rock. But I think RB is much better than GH. GH made band games like Metallica and Aerosmith but they don't even come close to TBRB.

I'm not really sure. If Rock Band starts pulling people in with these innovations, it will definitely be good for the franchise.

The loser players will be those who "stay loyal" to a franchise that no longer exists. (Guitar Hero, not Activision)

Question of the day for 02/11/11

Out of all the mashups we did like community mashup album I and II, TBRB mashup concert, The who/The Beatles Mashup and pink floyd/The Beatles, which one was your favorite?

Grand Finale, but I still have yet to listen fully to the 2nd, it's close to being like one of his solo albums from the lack of contribution lol, but he's very good and I have yet to check it out.

Oh if you meant album, definitely the first one we did. Pink Floyd/The Beatles for me was actually alot more difficult and not as thought out. I also rushed the two songs I completed for it, the third sounded so horrible.
