Bacon?
I'm not sure if it's possible to be less of a sellout than Frank Zappa, so I'm going to go with E: "This was a nonsensical question to begin with".
To the center of the city in the night, waiting for you.
well, in the OP he did mention jandek, who rejected all interviews, did all his recording himself, self-released every one of those recordings on his own imprint, and only recently started playing the occasional live show after over 30 years of genuinely reclusive music production.
and that's not to mention his incredibly difficult music!
jandek is one of the most obvious embodiments of anti-commercialism in recent music history.
EDIT: it looks like someone has the jandek on corwood dvd on youtube... here's part one if you're interested (you can find the other parts via the same YT user).
it's a good watch.

There is no problem with people who have a large amount of artistic output. Hell, they should be praised in comparison to those who spend all their time with their newly earned money partying instead of working.
Pop the cork
Ah, but the thing with that is that some people put a lot of time into working on their music. Certain bands won't release music for years but when they do it's top notch and well though out.
I wish to be a magician of words!
