They must've gone out of their way to find people in the industry who share their infamous dislike of prog rock, then. No prog at all on the list except for a few token Pink Floyd songs, and even those don't even break the top 300.

I'm fine with RS focusing on mainstream radio rock and pop, but I can't take a top 500 list without any Rush, Yes, Genesis or King Crimson on it very seriously.

Due to the sillyness of Jay-Z/Beyonce being where they are I say this should be replaced by the list of songs used in Supernatural. http://tviv.org/Supernatural/Music
That show, besides being a lot of fun, has a ridiculously good soundtrack.

Fun or not so fun) fact: When Eric Kripke wrote the pilot, he intentionally wrote Dean's love for classic rock and metal into the script because he didn't want the network to 'ruin the atmosphere of the show by giving it a typical modern pop soundtrack', and was completely surprised when the network gave him a green light to license all the tracks he wanted to use.

Seriously, is this song DLC? If so, how did I miss it?
Give me more songs by David Bowie, Oasis and The Smiths and I will be a very happy man indeed.

It's not out yet; only been announced. HMX has said that all three of Jimi's albums with the Jimi Hendrix Experience would be released, and so far, only "Axis: Bold as Love" has been. I personally wouldn't expect the other two to probably drop until after RB3 to make use of the Pro-mode.
    NEEDING DLC:
    Children Of Bodom
Foster The People (7/24/12 & RB Blitz)
    In Flames
    Scorpions
    Taylor Swift
    Zac Brown Band

You know, I never thought of it like that. I hope that's not the case, because I really wanna get on some more Hendrix soon.

Just to prevent any further confusions, the Hendrix songs (with the exception of Little Wing) and the CCR songs have been labeled as [Coming to DLC] until they actually come out as DLC.

Looking at this, I'm really surprised we haven't seen more of these tracks. I mean obviously some of these bands won't work with us but still... hmm...
Sonata Arctica is in Rock Band. This is officially the greatest thing ever.
