Hey, i was playing online with some people and they picked the COVER version of Tom Sawyer not the Rush version. i absolutely hate that cover but i played it because it was my turn next. i picked Prequel to the Sequel. Both guitarists instantly dropped out. It was me and the singer left. We got to the part the where the low growl "ah" is (the first word in the song) and the singer dropped out. I know death metal is not everybody's favorite genre but come on. You guys pick songs all the time that i dont like but i still play them. Dont quit in the middle of a song because you realize you dont like it.

There's nothing/super little for a singer to do in Prequel (and 'singing' like that is an earsore). I too leave if it's picked, but not during the song. Sometimes people enjoy a cover more than the real band, big deal. And as usual we ALL have to play things we don't like. It's a fact of RB.

We all have our own musical tastes... and some just get old faster than others (real fast) just depends on what you like or not.

I guess PTTS is over-picked online, so the guitarist and bassist hated it. As for the vocalist, of course he hates it. No expert vocalists like to play talky songs, so you couldn't blame him for leaving when there are only 1 player (you) enjoys that song..

The nerve of some people , don`t they know who they are playing with! Its practically a sin leaving in the middle of a setlist with D1sturb3d. They should be stoned and banned for this insain show of rude behavior!


But realy, it happens to all of us. If it realy got on your bad side that much, just block those users and go on with you playing.

Prequel to the Sequel gets played to death online and is one of the reasons I never bother with random online play anymore. You go through a loop of Chop Suey, Prequel and Battery, then when it's my turn to pick and I pick something outside that realm of music as a break, people drop out.

I suggest finding friends on your list to play with.

At least I can listen to PttS (halfway, mind you) and enjoy failing out of rather than insta-hate for whoever chooses Visions......
