    TB:RB DLC Theory

The Beatles: Rock Band came out 9/9/09, a day where Rock Band 3, only was speculation, and keyboard was'nt known by the public. TB:RB came out with a lot of great songs, but some fans noticed, that major hits like Strawberry Fields Forever, Let It Be, Hey Jude, Lady Madonna and so on was missing, and that Rubber Soul, Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road would come out as DLC.

The goal for HMX was release these 3 albums, while TB:RB hype still was high, after the release, and before Keyboard was announced. Noticed that these 3 albums does'nt include the major hits? Rubber Soul had some good hits on it, but keyboard/piano did'nt have much influence on the majority of songs, so it was perfect to release. Sgt. Pepper had a few songs with piano, but not the big sellers. Lovely Rita and Fixing A Hole is great songs, but not on the same level as Lady Madoona and Let It Be. Abbey Road contained the famous medley, which has a few keyboard parts, but nothing big. Maxwell's Silver Hammer was the only song with keyboard, but i guess it would be to borring either way.

So what am i trying to tell you? Im trying to tell you, that TB:RB export is not quite impossible, and the timing for new DLC, with a keyboard patch is possible.

My theory goes, that before the planning of which songs that should be included, they were looking at the future and the keyboard feature. So why would they release big piano songs, with no piano, when people would know that keyboard will be avaible.

It seems likely, that the great songs with piano, and a majority of the Revolver and MMT songs would be perfect to release.

I have 3 options.. actually 4, with what that could happen.

Option 1: As a teaser for Rock Band 3, they would put the keyboard up for sale in september, and on the same time release TB:RB DLC. And they would have known when they made the game, that keyboard would be a part of TB:RB, so it was already build into the game from the start.

Option 2: They will see how well the keyboard hardware sells, and how popular it is, and then release TB:RB DLC in october, late november.

Option 3: Keyboard will not be supported, but to give RB fans something to hold on to, before Rock Band 3, they will release

Option 4: Nothing will happen, and the waiting will continue, unless they tell us, that they left TB:RB.

John Lennon: Ringo isn't even the best drummer in The Beatles.

There should be something that includes Beatle songs. Option 1 wouldn't be entirely logical they would be focusing all of their attention on Rock Band 3 they wouldn't want people to be buying the cheaper product despite it containing DLC. It would have to be sometime after i would think.

At this point option 4 is most likely what going to happen.

While it would be awesome if it was true, It just isn't logical and won't happen. At the time when TB:RB was being made, the keyboard was still a prototype and they probably had no idea how it was even going to be implemented. They couldn't have built such an early concept into the game for just an update to make it magically work. Keep in mind that the RB3 engine is completely redone and was built from the ground up for RB3. As far as I'm aware, TB:RB engine is just a modified RB2 engine. The keyboard isn't something that just an update could add. And if they did have the keyboard ready at the time of TB:RB, there's no reason that they wouldn't have just added it then, considering that there are sooo many Beatles songs that use the keyboard. So that eliminates option 1. As for option 2, once again the whole "adding a keyboard with an update" thing just doesn't make sense so that's ruled out right away. And they aren't going to release keyboard-less DLC for TB:RB after RB3 releases because it would be such a downgrade that most people wouldn't want to spend money on an old game that doesn't even have the newest features anymore. Option 3 just doesn't make sense. There's no reason for them to release the keyboard before a game that can support it. That would be like releasing and new Xbox or something, but not releasing any games with it. The only option that's gonna happen is option 4.

The funny thing is, when the game came out The Bootleg Beatles (a British tribute band) promoted it in England. They said the only thing that was a pity was the fact there was no keyboard. But perhaps it was always intended.

Well, all I can tell you is that there are no keyboards charted in anything in The Beatles right now. So saying that keyboards are in the game just waiting for the right controller to be attached is wrong.

Sadly I think TB:RB is history. We got three great albums and nothing more will come from it. Don't expect a "we won't be supporting the game anymore" comment from Harmonix either. That's just bad business.

So why did they say that exact thing for Rock Band Unplugged and Green Day Rock Band?
