We've promoted a few more songs to the Peer Review phase today. Amberian Dawn's "Lionheart" joins "Evil Inside Me" and "Kokko - Eagle of Fire" as part of the next batch of contenders for release. Free Spirit's "Pale Sister of Light" is the title track off the 2009 album of the same name, of which two other songs have already been released in the store. And the poppy "999,999 Girls!" by Kiss the Girl is ready for your votes, as well.

Man, you guys are at 82? Last few days I've been all "we're almost at 10, hooray!" But, makes sense with relative team sizes and all that.

A few new updates for Thursday, July 29th:

    - "New Revolution" by hot, up-and-coming LA-based band The Waking Hours has made its debut in playtesting! Taken from their six-song EP "How Does it Feel", this song has made appearances in popular shows such as "The Ghost Whisperer" and "Bad Girls Club", and will have you rocking out to its power pop beats in no time flat!

    - Another pair of Amberian Dawn songs have made their way to peer review today. Look for "Lullaby" and "Fate of the Maiden", both from the band's debut album "River of Tuoni", to be making their way to the Marketplace soon!

    - Also brand new to peer review today is "Heart of Lilith 2010" by Inkubus Sukkubus! If you enjoyed the uptempo goth rock workout of "Wytches 2010", you'll be sure to love this one as well!

Just listened to Kokko, really digging that one.

Is Amberian Dawn still planning to record a song specifically for the RBN? If so, how's it coming along?

Oh, just noticed a small problem, for the youtube page, you have your facebook linked again. Just a heads up.

    BIG BIG BIG news today.

We have five brand new releases in the Rock Band Network Store on Xbox 360 today. For those of you keeping track, that puts us at 87 songs for sale. EIGHTY-SEVEN. That's three more than shipped on-disc for RB2! Huge milestone for us. Hopefully now I can get some vacation time.

The brand new releases today include FOUR tracks from power-pop favorites We the Kings. Their songs up for download include "Anna Maria (All We Need)", "Rain Falls Down", "Spin", and "What You Do To Me", all from their new album "Smile Kid" and at a 160 MSP price point.

We also have the RBN debut of Hugh Cornwell, the frontman for legendary punk group The Stranglers, who reconnects with his rock 'n' roll roots on "Wrong Side of the Tracks". The song is taken from his album "Hoover Dam" and is available for 160 MSP.

On top of that, three more RGS-authored tracks will be available to PS3 owners starting next Tuesday. Love indie rock? Grab "Is There a Ghost" by Band of Horses. Post-hardcore fan? "Heads or Tails? Real or Not" by Emarosa has you covered. Want to shred some metal? Check "Elements" by Texas In July!
