....and it was the best show I've seen......EVER. Great mix of Beatles/Wings/solo stuff, he was incredible with interacting with the crowd, and even at 68 he played for over 3 hours with two encores. The setlist was more or less the same as the Good Evening New York CD/DVD with a few changes here and there.
One girl was holding up a sign that said "I have your Hofner tatooed on my back. Will you sign it?" Right before the last song of the night, he brought her up on stage and signed her back right below the tattoo. A kid was holding up a sign that said "I want to play a song with you." He brought the kid up on stage, then discovered the kid didn't speak a lick of English. The real kicker was when he was saying his last goodbyes to the fans, someone handed him a Beatles:Rock Band Hofner. He laughed, signed it and handed it back to them. Some of the in-game footage from TB:RB was shown on the screens behind the band, too.
All in all, I was VERY happy with the concert, and it was well worth the $$$ and the 4 hour drive. In fact, if he comes anywhere NEAR my location again, I'm going. If anyone gets a chance, go. See him. You won't regret it.
