I understand that. It's just they're (the writers) walking a fine line. While it was a comic, the show has become popular with other groups. And the first two seasons were more grounded in a normal world (As normal as a zombie invasion can be) While the comic crowed may love her being that way, she's too over the top for my taste. I don't mind her kicking ass. I do mind her being a jedi knight.

Actually in the comic Michonne is a lot more 'over the top' and out of touch (she talks to herself a lot and just takes what she wants...byproduct of being alone and wandering the wasteland a lot longer than any of the group).

She's a lot more toned down on the tv show.

For those that have read the book (and without getting too much into spoiler territory), in the book it was Rick and Michonne that met the Governor and found out what a despicable scumbag he is.

I have a sinking feeling it's going to be Glenn and Maggie on the show that take Rick and Michonne's place on the show.

Too much comic, not enough horror in the genre ratio.
Actually the phone was just Rick losing his god damned mind. The phone wasn't ringing, it was all in Rick's head.

Never thought of this, makes sense. In regards to creative decisions, I guess it would have a more emotional impact considering how happy Glenn and Maggie are and the brutal things the Governor does. Rick is already going through hell so the impact of the events in the comic wouldn't be as strong with the tv show events.

I like some of the decisions so far, except for Andrea. Easily the most hated character on the show, I hope they get rid of her.

I was looking forward to a certain scene before Michonne escapes from Woodbury.

Spoiler: I guess that would mean Glen is the one that will be losing his hand.

She was covered in the guts of another zombie so they couldn't smell her. You'll recall that exact technique being used in season 1 by Rick.

No, I got all that. I just thought it was stupid.

Woah, did not know Andrew Lincoln is British.

Threw me off a bit hearing him in some behind-the-scenes videos. Maybe that's why I find him to be such a weak American-mimic actor.

And Lauren Cohen (Maggie) is as well, but her accent is more subtle.

Ugh, I almost forgot they're splitting this season up into two halves again. Completely stupid if you ask me, it's all to build the anticipation to key plot points, a bit unnecessary in my opinion. The 2nd half won't being until early/mid February like season 2. :/

    The episode was pretty good.

The Governor however has been built up the last 6 months as the ultimate villain only to turn out to be a perv who's into making women show their boobs.
