They don't butcher songs. It's not like they're covering the song in a different genre, because if you listen to the original, and then the Glee version (which I doubt most of you have, or else you would have already realized this), they're not that different.
Journey
Glee
They're a little different, but I wouldn't call that butchering.

I also lol'd at Glee, some kid singing Bo'Rap and butchering it, killing freddy mercury in the afterlife.
and I bite into those buns and I just can't believe it.....they forgot the onions.
I love Glee and Lea Michele is my favorite star actress from the show.
i agree with younger people finding classics through the show a good thing.
"REAL LOVE"
How is people learning new music through Glee so much different than three years ago when people insulted those who discovered music through Rock Band?
Get over it, it's 2010, there's new ways to be exposed to music. I don't watch Glee and never will, but you don't see me *****ing, because guess what. Covers of popular songs did not start with Glee, nor will they end with it.

Well, the difference is Glee fans are much less cool than Rock Band Fans. Also, most Glee fans will not seek out the orignal, while RB/GH fans do.
