Child's Play/World Record Attempt

To get straight to the point here's the Cliff Notes:
• I want to take the world record for playing a game for the longest amount of time. Currently as far as I can find it stands at 55 hours.
• Do a charity event while doing this for Child's Play.
• Promote/Advertise Rock Band 3

I have an idea of how I'd like to do this... But I need help to accomplish that idea or if anyone has any good suggestions, change the idea to it.

I used to work at a local gamestop and my old boss is thinking about doing a midnight event for the game, which got me originally thinking about doing this to promote the game. Unfortunately when I start thinking about things they tend to explode to huge ideas.

Usually the store would get the game a few days ahead of time and I wanted to play it as soon as possible (like most people on this site) and if I'm promoting the game I figured it would be possible to put it out to play (Needs HMX to agree). Seeing how I would be going after a record by playing RB3, it would be fun to have others jump in and out thanks to the drop in/out support while playing. During the 2 days I'd be playing the game during store hours and leading up to the games release there could be a donation box. I want to beat the record just as the game is going to be released on the east coast.

On top of this, I have several friends and local personalities who have already decided that they love to host a webathon which would record the entire event, while doing a show to try and bring in more money to the charity. Leading up to this, I'd be doing weekly video updates, as soon as I find out this is happening I plan on going on a diet that will help me eat and well hold my bladder for as long as I can during this and I plan on recording it and hopefully starting the donation process as soon as possible. It will be the ultimate bladder control achievement.

I've spoken to Tommy of RockBandAide for support in this and he said he'd love to help. Well this is basically asking him to host this on his site. If not we'd be having to make and host it elsewhere and hopefully get links from several sites.

To make this happen, I'm going to need Sponsors, there are possible fees to pay just to get World Guinness to look at your record attempt.

I'm open to ideas.

if you need anyone to step in to play and help achieve this achievement, i can help. expert everything. dont care what i play if i do this.

Are you in the Triad, NC area? Otherwise I doubt you'll have the game (if it goes according to plan) to play over the net. Or if I'll even be allowed to do that.

Still no word from HMX, Penny Arcade or Gamestop.
