New rule for the Rock Band Forums Drinking Game: Take a shot every time someone says that a half-parody of gospel music written by a Jew is promoting Christianity.
I find it rather interesting that the majority of John's solo material is more or less piano-driven. Honestly, Paul seemed to rock out more in his solo days. : ?
I'd go for a pack consisting of "Gimme Some Truth," "Going Down on Love" (perhaps his most underrated solo song), and "Woman."
Too much "hits".
Some of his best songs:
Isolation (fits very well RockBand 3)
Look At Me
Give Me Some Truth
Tight As
Mind Games
One Day (At A Time)
Out Of The Blue
You Are Here
Cleanup Time
I'm Losing You
Nobody Told Me
I voted;
Cold Turkey
Jealous Guy
Woman
Whatever Gets You Thru The Night
Oh Yoko!
(Just Like) Starting Over
I wouldn't say John was against christianity. It was just at that time he was sick of everyone cramming all this stuff down his throat. Plus, he was finally free from the Beatles machine and all he believed in was whatever he and Yoko were going to do from that point on.
He seemed to have found christianity again later in his life. Especially with songs like Bless You, Grown Old With Me, and Beautiful Boy (darling Boy).
Both he and Paul claimed to be agnostics in various Beatle interviews.
Yet Paul, tried to force religion on John at the end of the Beatles run.
