I had no choice, the Union had already muscled in and "politely" requested that should the octopus turn up for the audition, no matter how well he drummed, that I would not hire him; something about a dispute between the octopus' father and THEM.

On the other hand (tentacle?), if he was such a hot drummer, surely he could have out-drummed Sam and helped his dad win that battle instead of watching helpless as we drove him back to the deep? No, I think I got the better drummer in the end.

I would if I could, but I have to assume it's some kind of union thing, preventing bands from having octopus drummers because it would put regular drummers out of business.

The octopus can sink back into the depths of the ocean. If I wanted the octopus in my band that bad, I woulda sent some very angry letters to TT and made sure they patch the game to make it an option.
