    I like NYHC, but not really anywhere near as much as other scenes. I feel like if it was any city other than New York it would have been about as popular as, let's say, Texas hardcore.

    That's an interesting way to look at it, and you may have a point there. Since you brought it up, Texas hardcore is pretty cool.

    I agree, one of the most underrated. MDC, Stick Men With Ray Guns, The Dicks, Verbal Abuse, The Big Boys, and, my personal favorite, Really Red. A sadly overlooked scene.
