Muse was a neat band until Black Holes, Coldplay always had at least a few pleasant songs until the last album which was just terrible.
Not removing this until we get some Sunn O)))
in which case this will be on for a while.

I used to be big into Coldplay when I was still getting into music, I guess. I still kinda like their stuff, and I like Viva La Vida more than most. I haven`t heard their latest yet, actually, but I`ve heard divisive opinions about it.

This sums up how I feel about Muse. I felt like when they got super popular because of that dang Twilight movie, they started to let it go to their head. But everything between Showbiz and Absolution was superb.

Absolution is the best Muse album, and it's not all that good.

Yeah it's definitely a great album. One of my favorites from the early days. Still think my overall favorite is A Farewell to Kings.

Jon's songwriting just seems better in Codeine Velvet Club, snd I love Vanity's voice. Plus, their cover of The Stone Roses' "I Am The Resurrection" is fantastic.

UO: Dio's best work was in Elf.

I agree completely; while I dislike The Fratellis, Codeine Velvet Club has some pretty good stuff from what I've heard.

That was an album I took a while to appreciate. I knew CttH, but not the other epic stuff like Xanadu and Cygnus Book I.

Pretty much. Muse has this real consistent mediocre streak.
