As repulsive as Metallica have gotten over the years, I still listen to Ride the Lightning on a semi-regular basis, which is more I can say for anything by Anthrax or Slayer.

Megadeth are far and away my favorite of the big 4. Their first 3 albums are great, but the rest is ranging from just okay to lackluster (I think Rust in Peace is a massively overrated album).

While I'm here, I'll just say that Reign in Blood is a **** album.

I don't really like Slayer at all, even the 80s material. Not sure if that's a UO or not.

I currently find myself bored with their music more than anything else. I like some of their work and will be getting that Slayer 3 pack DLC next week but I'm not going to actively put on a Slayer album when I can put in a Black Metal, Funeral Doom Metal, or Viking Metal album instead.

I love Slayer. Seasons in the Abyss is my favorite.

I love the first 2 albums as well as South of Heaven and Seasons in the Abyss myself.

Reign in Blood isn't one of my favorites by them, but I view it as almost a thrash Ramones album. I believe their intention was to make a short, fast record. Great background music, but can be a bit dull after repeated listens.

Of course, The Ramones never get dull for me.

Slayer hasn't recorded an interesting full album since "Hell Awaits". They have a few great songs recorded since then (Angel of Death, South Of Heaven, Seasons In The Abyss, Raining Blood) but not even enough great songs for a killer album.
