Never a big fan of thrash metal. The metal I only really listen to is Pantera, Metallica, and Dream Theater, the latter being not full-on metal.
We need sludgey and droney and stonery metal:
    Dirge
    Sleep
    Bongripper
    Sunn O)))
    Electric Wizard
    Earth
    Neurosis
    Cult of Luna

What all have you given a chance on the metal front? Because if those are the only acts you listen to, you really are doing yourself a disservice.

Only Pantera, Metallica And Dream Theater?

Quick, get some Fates Warning, Death, and Bathory into RosaFloydGuy's MP3 Player/CD Collection/Vinyl Collection Stat!!!
Bands I'd love to see as DLC for Rock Band:

    Bathory []
    Bal Sagoth []
    Amorphis []
    Emperor [X]
    Enslaved []

Bathory was eh. Fates Warning is actually quite cool. I still need to listen to Death.

Only metal I'm really versed in is thrash, prog, and speed. But I have listened to some Kamelot, and I think that's power metal.

If you haven't listened to any Sabbath, Maiden or Priest, you need to fix that ASAP.

Candlemass, Neurosis and Angel Witch are other way beyond essentials.

I love those three bands. I prefer them over Metallica and Pantera.
