I gave it a non-bold green in your "rate the albums in a discography" thread, so I think it's pretty good.

I really hate current mainstream pop, although I will admit it does have a lot to do with things other than the music. Regardless, Katy Perry is absolute hell to me, even ignoring image and popularity.

In terms of image, however, I can't think of anyone worse than Madonna, other than maybe crunkcore and juggalo bands.

    Well said.

I was under the impression that it was blasphemy to embrace any nu-metal band, although a lot of mainstream pop is well received here. I can understand Lady Gaga, sort of, but Katy Perry... well, I've covered that.

I wanna emphasize Katy Perry is only good in comparison to nu-metal, but it's still dirt to **** comparisons that I was trying to draw.

Depends on the nu-metal. I'll take Cold, Nonpoint, Skindred, or a handful of others over Katy Perry any day.

Against Staind, Limp Bizkit, post-Hybrid Theory Linkin Park, or post-Southtown P.O.D.? Then you might have an argument.

Heh, I remember thinking Staind were the saddest band ever at one point.

I really like The Offspring, esp Conspiracy of One and Americana.

I do like The Offspring as well, except their last album. That one was a bummer.

Yeah, is Splinter any good. Don't think I've looked into it much.
