Who are The Talking Heads?
TRB brings up another UO of mine: I like going to /mu/ because they have occasional great conversation about music and are constantly active.
I like Weezer after Maladroit and think The Red Album is their third best.
I like music with growled vocals
A Thousand Leaves is the second best Sonic Youth album
Amnesiac and Hail to the Theif don't get enough credit
Korn is a tolerable band and the best Nu-Metal group
The Smiths aren't THAT great
Arcade Fire sucks
Devo needs more credit
Never Again by Nickelback is their only song that is not complete doo-doo.

most bands should actually probably have at least 3 big muffs, but more is always welcome.

You say that, but your reference tells me otherwise.![]()
Replace "critic" with "non-musician" and I would agree. Personally, I'd say music criticism is about the worst type of criticism, perhaps next to food criticism and video game criticism.
Not that I'm particularly against music reviews/music evaluation, but I do constantly scratch my head at how "professional" music critics from Rolling Stone and Pitchfork are still employed.
