I know I'm not the best example of a passive or polite poster; I'm blunt, but nowadays (or at least this year following the summer) I feel I'm a lot more cooperative, passive and tactful. I don't know how I kept being so blunt and inflammatory these last few years; let alone how on a site like this I got away with it.

I really hate your FACE.

Seriously, though; I feel the "tame" sound Dinosaur Jr played with around that time was fine, I've always found Feel the Pain a nice and pleasant tune, even though I love their louder and nosier material far more. Though, the biggest fan of Dinosaur Jr I know HATES their "tame" period and especially the record FTP is on; calling it derivative and other similar things.

I also noticed this because i remember you giving me a hard time when I first came here. Now though you have helped counteract other regs who have developed a more trollish sensibility. So good on ya.

Note the thread title. Cry more. I'm not going to listen to a band's discography every time I hear a song I dislike just to say I don't like them.

Thread title has been noted, and no crying involved, but insinuating I'm crying over this is a cool personal attack. It's "Unpopular Musical Opinions," not "Uninformed Musical Opinions." Big difference. Moreover, being able to state an unpopular opinion here doesn't mean you get a free pass when asked to defend it. No one's saying you need to listen to a band's discography if you don't like a song, I sure as hell don't. However, I also don't go around trashing an entire band's career if I know I dislike a song or two (or, ooh, three). I'll state I dislike the song, or I dislike what I've heard from a band.

I think part of me saw that my troll posts or quasi-troll posts at times weren't helping the forum and to really bring HOR back to par I'd have to start posting better and more constructively. I think it's worked a little to promote activity in the forum, but eh. I'm still blunt, I'm just not a complete and utter jackass now.
