Mmmhm, Artillery. They, Coroner and Kreator are up there for me too.

Honestly prefer just about any of Portnoy's side projects (LTE, Transatlantic and Neal Morse) to Dream Theater. First OSI was alright, but I think Blood tops the debut. The second albums s pretty ehh.

Not too keen on the new DT album since they went with genero-progmetal drummer #3823942 instead of someone who might have brought something new to the table.

Except Blood is with Gavin Harrison (Porcupine Tree) on drums, not Portnoy. But yes, it is a fantastic album.

    Rush's Caress of Steel

Faith No More's best album is King For A Day.
i agree with all these except the Robert Plant one, Fate of Nations is easily his best work outside The Honeydrippers material, and Caress of Steel is the best album Rush ever did, in fact, most of their other material isn't that great

Really? Don't know if you're only talking about studio recordings but Les Bains Douches 18 December 1979
    is a god-tier live album.

My unpopular (among some circles) is that Krallice, Wolves in the Throne Room and Liturgy have produced some of the best black metal of all time.

If Exodus didn't have so much line-up changes they would be big 4 worthy

The Big 4 to me seem to be more of a popularity contest rather than the actual quality of the music.

The same goes for the Big 4 of grunge, although grunge's Big 4 are much better than thrash's Big 4 (that may just qualify as an unpopular opinion itself).

It's more-so the pioneers of the kind of music. No one's ever pretended they were the Big 4 because they're the best four.

Except the big four of grunge or even thrash (outside of maybe, Nirvana and Metallica respectively) pioneered the genres; popularized maybe, but thrash was being made and grunge was being made before each respected band hit notice. Thus big four = popularization, not pioneering. But I'm fairly certain Mega knows all of this.

3 of the members of the Big 4 of Grunge aren't even Grunge.
Despite all my rage, I'm still just Nicolas Cage
