I agree, and extend that to Green Day's early output, which sounds ridiculously similar to both of those bands.

From a gestalt approach to instrumentation, Blink-182 has a great punk drummer... and precious little else. I'd say it's more than apt to call them pop-rock with considerable punk influence, especially considering their guitar work. The Offspring are more all-around punk in instrumentation, but they've gone away from that in recent albums, similarly with Green Day.

Gold Digger was one of the most irritating songs of the 00s for me.

Same for me. I'm not very enthusiastic about Kanye's output at all.

Kanye is one of the dopest producers out there, a good rapper too.
too bad people focus so much on the whole Taylor Swift thing over his talent.

Let's not pretend Kanye has good music, he's just a solid producer.

Also, dope should not be an adjective, as it just makes me laugh at you.

The only time I enjoyed Kanye is his part of Hurricane by 30 Seconds to Mars. At one point I really hoped HMX would get the song for RB, but I know at this point they'll go with the finalized version that removed all his parts. Shame, would've been cool for Harmony Vocals.

I also seem to be the only person (or at least one of the few) that thinks the original version was a lot better than what they went with in the finalized version.

I hate how a lot of teens don't listen to anything from a few years ago because it's "old." I don't get it. How is two years ago "old?"

I heard a kid talking about how he doesn't like a local radio station because the songs were "old." I asked which one, and he said the pop/rap station.

Seriously, haven't you heard of staying power? Songs are good no matter how old they are.

Sorry, but people like that make me mad. It's a curse of being very musically open.

I meant to imply that, but I guess I failed again.

How old are the people you hear saying this? I found that most of my peers in my early teenage years (let's say up to 15) would use "old" to mean "overplayed" when describing music on popular radio. It doesn't make sense, I suppose, but it was common.
