I'm sorry, but how are Breaking Benjamin Nu-Metal? They don't mix rap with metal in any way. I say hard rock/alternative.

Yeah, Breaking Benjamin aren't nu-metal. Definitely hard rock, or at most, alternative metal.

Nu-metal seems to have been retooled as a metal 'lite' these days.

RAtM performs, but doesn't write anything new, and...

    And...

Umm...there might be some small-scale ones?

Not many. The majority from the 90's and 00's have altered their sound to either post-grunge or hard rock (ie. Godsmack, Papa Roach, Disturbed). Or just disbanded altogether with the fall of the genre.

The only ones left really are Korn and Limp Bizkit. Korn is doing that dubstep thing now (which actually doesn't sound all that bad), so Limp Bizkit is really the only one left playing strictly nu-metal still. Of course, there are smaller scale bands that are still playing nu-metal like Ill Nino, Skindred, and Spineshank whenever they plan on releasing their new album. You can literally count the remaining nu-metal bands on your fingers these days.

I'm listening to the new Evanescence now. "What You Want" was a cool song but I'm far from impressed so far otherwise.

I've meant to look into this band called Minkus whom released an album this year, and from what I've heard, they got a pretty notable System of a Down vibe.

Yeah, I just listened to it the other day. The first 3 songs were really good, but then it tapered down quickly after that.

Never really was big on Evanescence anyway, so it doesn't surprise me that I didn't like it.

Zooey Deschanel and I should totally hook up.

Also, Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon should get back together.
