I don't get it, a song without Pro Drums would fail out in playtesting, but songs with missing harmonies pass? Why exactly?

Most likely reason is that the stems did not have the harmonies separated. Pro Drums don't require any different sources, so there is no reason for it not to be charted.

It's one thing to have interesting songs that are a creative use of resources, but to add gimmicks in there is like saying "this song isn't good enough by itself, so we don't feel comfortable releasing it unless we add more stuff in there"

What makes a song great or fun to play on Rock Band isn't just the fact that certain bricks are coming down at certain times. It's because of the music. And if the music doesn't yield the gameplay you want, I would suggest getting another song that does. I'm sure HMX feels the same way, which is probably why these things aren't getting passed.

EDIT: This is in reference to the Devin songs.

No one has ever said that, EVER

Not at all. The songs are fantastic and easily stand on their own - the goofy stuff is just the cherry on top, and should be appreciated rather than derailed by annoying *****s who think Rock Band is serious business.

Band games are all but dead, the least we could do is try to support stuff that tries to do something a little different to generate some interest, however minor it may be. People holding this up are a cancer to the RB community.
    Does this signature annoy you?

Technically, every song with a drum part has pro drums, and if the pro drum part has toms mapped to cymbals, it's an error and shouldn't pass. The only reason so many RBN 1 songs made it through is because there was no way to test them (well, also the fact that no one told the authors until months after the store opened).

Hey this is Noble. I haven't been around ThatAuthoringGroup much the last two months. I'm having health issues (it's nothing life threatening, but it does affect my ability to properly test, review, and help chart songs). I help when I can, but it's really not that much. However the group is in the hands of some guys that are just as passionate about Rock Band Network as I am so have no fear that TAG is going to continue busting ass to get as many awesome songs from killer bands into the game as we possibly can.

Now what I'm about to say now, I'm not saying as an affiliate of TAG. I say this as myself, and as a fan of the game.

Believe me I understand everyone's frustration at how long it is taking to get some of our songs through the system. I was doing (and TAG continues that now without me) everything in our power to get the best and most kick ass bands and songs into the game. I've heard people wonder what's taking so long, and there are so many behind the scenes political bull**** tactics that goes on that it just makes me sick.

It saddens me as a fan of this game and music in general that certain factions would try to block others from just wanting to get music they love into the game because they don't like them or how they operate.

I'm not the type of guy to air dirty laundry in public, even when it is making the group I founded look like a bunch of incompetent lazy people that can't manage to get a few songs through the system.

Even now, when our songs just never seem to come out no matter what we do, and people start to doubt our ability to deliver the songs we've signed, I'm not about to start pointing fingers or slinging mud in public.

Just know that for the most part TAG is working in a hostile environment. We're not wanted, our way of doing things doesn't mesh well with some of the others, and they're doing everything they can to make sure we fail. As a fan of music and the game, it just pisses me off the behind the scenes, childish bull**** that I've witnessed in the last three or four months.

And this has nothing to do with Ziltoid and the zany stuff we're attempting there. Turns out Ziltoid was just a symptom of a larger issue, and it's seriously destroying our ability to get any song through the system.

Again, this is ME, NOBLE saying this and not as a member of TAG, but as a member of the Rock Band Community. I'm not going to name names, or point fingers at the guilty parties, because that would just cause a public ***** fest, and that is NOT the point of this post.

I'm posting this to let you all know that despite everything, TAG (sans myself) is doing everything in their power to overcome this blacklisting and get our stuff through the pipeline as quickly as possible. I'm not looking for sympathy, or for anyone to come in here and say yeah it's so and so who's doing these things, because this isn't the point.

I just want everyone to know we WILL get these songs into the store, we WILL continue to bring you music we love and want in the game. Despite a mountain of cards stacked against us from more than one angle. It might take longer than some other authoring groups, but we WILL do what it takes to get the songs we announced into this game so fans of the bands can enjoy playing their music just as much as we enjoyed working on them.

So please be patient and know that we are doing everything under the heavens to get our songs into the store and into your hands as soon as humanly possible.

And I'm sure the parties I've spoken of will be reading this, so do not take this out on TAG. This wasn't the guys that are still working there saying this, this was me personally. I'm not sure what more you could do to hurt TAG more than what you're already doing, but if you've got a beef with what I've just said, then your beef is with me, not with TAG.
