So yeah I have no idea what caused that at all.
How long are the audio files you rendered? I think it bases it off that, even if the song ends well before the audio does. (Incidentally, the preview window setting is based off that too, so you can in theory have a preview that's not part of the song at all. Really bad idea, but still.)

I just assumed it set the time off when the [end] event was. That was what indicated the end of the song, but after checking the audio files you're absolutely right.

They go on (even though it's dead space) until 9:17.

I never even realized it did this, and I'll let the team know that the songs metadata is gathered from the audio stems and not the end event.

Been doing this for almost two years now (testing before TAG), and I'm still learning new stuff >_>

A song's file size is often a good determiner of "true" song length, too. ItBL weighs in at about 47 MB - and I can't think of a 9+ minute song that's had that small a file size, even among the instrumentals.

It's not an exact science, of course, as there are 5 minute songs out there that range anywhere from 35-50 MB in size.

I bought the song based off the full band autoplay charts that have been on youtube for 4 months. sure they changed a bit, but it still gives you a full view of what almost all of the song will look like.

By Your Command was recorded at about half the volume that the other two Ziltoid songs were.

It was pointed out when the song was in "pre-Thursday" release status, but understandably they decided not to pull the song - as a stand-alone product, there was no issue with it that can't be corrected by increasing your TV's volume.

RBN songs vary in volume quite drastically all the time (just not usually this much from the same artist). If I pick a random setlist of six RBN songs, it's pretty much guaranteed I'll need to tweak with the volume at least two or three times during the set for optimal audio enjoyment.

Well given the fact that that video has zero words in its tags, description, or title related to "Rock Band", "Rock Band Network", "RBN", "Playthrough" or anything that isn't the song title, I can imagine I wasn't the only one who couldn't find it.

Plus, though they're required to never do it on purpose, the whole Ziltoid conceit is that he's messing with your game in various ways, so tweaking the volume on you is right up his alley.

They'll be failed if they do a near-silent/dangerously-loud song, but it's not like it can't be lampshaded away.
