But to laugh and attack a group when they announce they might be going away forever? Really?

After the blood sweat and tears we've put into this game to get the bands that everyone wants? Trying to make 80mspt the standard pricing for RBN tracks and not the occasional one?

Giving back full refunds (in some cases when we didn't have to) when we did **** up and our songs needed to be resent into the system?

Giving away incredible prizes like the pro guitar, signed CD's t-shirts...hell having more contests than any other authoring group period.

You might not like us, and yeah sure I tend to get excited and speak ahead of myself at times, but why the hate?
Criticism is hate? No, no, no. You guys constantly shoot yourselves in the foot and we call you out on it. Yes, nobody is perfect, but since you decided to be the big dogs of the RBN there's a bigger light shined on you as a result. And now that you're supposedly going under - or about to, that post from weeks ago promising all of those bands? Do you see the absurdity there? For all I know, your post about the death of TAG could be premature.

Dude, I've bought TAG songs. If I truly loathed TAG then that wouldn't have happened, but you do dumb things constantly and you promise too much and that not only hurts you, but it hurts the quality of the RBN too - And THAT makes me angry.

No amount of free CD's, DLC codes and pro guitars will just makes things all better, especially when you continue to makes promises you can't keep. Honestly, you're the dad who keeps disappointing his kids. Yeah, you give us stuff, you treat us nicely. But then you promise too much and we're always excited and hopeful, and then you don't deliver and it hurts. It hurts, man.

So, really, I don't hate you, most of DLCQP does not hate you or TAG. You just do stupid things constantly and we just happen to call you out on it. If you want some advice, follow note for note what RockGamer and Rhythm Authors do. They don't make premature announcements, they go through a lot of internal testing, and they don't care what I think about them.

As for the posters that feel the need to take pot shots at someone posting their bad news: grow up, or go post somewhere else. I'm not knocking reasonable and constructive criticism, but your "lols" and your "jokes" are worthless.

I have worked with a ton of people through the RB forums over the years on a variety of projects, and few have been more stoked about Rock Band than Noble. He may announce content earlier than some would like or over share about what he hopes to do with TAG, but I'll take over being enthusiastic about creating content for a game that all of us here enjoy over forum schadenfreude any day of the week.

It's funny because DLCQP let songs fall through too (some that had preview videos). I was actually really excited for this song. RockGamer announced those Gaslight Anthem songs that never came to be. The original author for Graveyard Barbecue dropped them, Spock's Beard, among others. Drist fell through. I'm pretty sure I could think of an example for every authoring group "making a promise they can't keep". Except for maybe Rhythm Authors, pending those B.O.L.T. songs I have been asking about for over a year. As long as RBN continues to be a thing, songs will fall through. I don't think any one person or group should be burned at the stake more than another, because life and things happen.

Hey I'll be the first thing to admit that the very thing that makes me the best cheerleader for TAG is also my biggest downfall.

My excitement for this game and bands I love. It's the excitement that keeps me going after bands after our tenth not interested, it's that excitement that lets me put in 36 hours straight of compiling, building videos, and keeping things running at TAG when I should just lay down and die for a week.

However that excitement also gets the better of me when I finally hear a yeah lets do this from a band or label, or come up with a great idea to help Rock Band get even more great music.

Nine times out of ten everything we've announced or got hyped about has come to pass. And yeah things have bit us in the ass from announcing stuff or plans too soon.

I fully admit that I need to get my excited caffeine fueled wagging tongue under control, but I think our track record speaks for itself when it comes to content delivered against things that have fallen through in the past.

And just so we're clear...this isn't **** we're dead see you later suckers.

This is just me saying that almost overnight our work force got clocked with real life issues, and we're going to do everything in our power to hang in there until we can hopefully right it.

So don't think this is us giving up, or anything like that. I just wanted everyone here to know what was going on if they noticed a decreased presence from us lately.

Like I said, no one's perfect. You should follow me on Twitter, though. I've spoken about songs we couldn't do/fell through for whatever reasons.

Bad news: he already did the former while posting, and considering his presence anywhere, it's impossible to do the latter.

I am an older dude, which means I don't have to deal with any pressures of college (yay!), but also means I have adult responsibilities (wife and kids, yay!) instead. At this stage in my life, time is more important to me than money, however.

That said, while I know nothing specifically about authoring, I am a QA professional for a multi-billion dollar financial software company, and could probably help with the "playtest" aspect (even though I'm a "hard difficulty" player at best in core RB). I also have decent organization and administrative skills, and am pretty detail oriented and observant. I'm fairly certain I could learn the mechanics if properly directed.

Let me know what I can do to help. I don't want to see any authoring group fail, especially one that has shown a lot of enthusiasm and crazy-ass vision for expanding the scope of RBN.
