That was part of a deal we were working that fell through when our contact left the company unfortunately.

Well since we're creeping up on the end of the year and people have been asking what my favorite TAG songs are we've released, I figure I'll do a monthly 'best of TAG'.

Every day I'll post one of my favorite songs we've worked on as we count down towards the end of the years.

So here in no particular order is the top 31 TAG songs (Noble edition)
I missed a few days so I need to post a few to get caught up

    Dec 1st

Anarchy Club - King of Everything :

If you're a fan of Rock Band you know who Anarchy Club is and what they're all about.

We've worked on a number of songs from them, and I went back and forth between Fur Immer Verloren and this one.

    King of Everything won out...barely.

While not a complicated song, it's damn catchy, and this is my list and I say so

Like I said I was behind when I started the 31 days of TAG so here's the Dec 2nd entry :

While my first entry might have been a little too easy, this one might be a little too hard

Blending a ton of different metal genres into one kick ass song that will test your Rock Band skills, and have you thrashing around the room to the beat...try not to lose an arm or plastic drum set when taming this beast.

This is Wolfcrusher with Skeletonizer :

    Rishloo!

This was a band that I contacted at the urging of one of the Rock Band forum goers, and man am I glad I did. It's really rare in today's music that you get intelligent lyrics to go along with some great music.

Rishloo has went on to become one of our most popular bands we've worked with, and we'll be bringing their Eidolon album to Rock Band in 2013.

However on an album full of great moody tracks, I have to say that this one is my favorite.

Rishloo is unquestionably one of the best RBN "finds." I just wish Downhill wasn't quite so popular...when jamming with friends online, I've played it almost as much as all the other Rishloo songs combined. It is a great song, though, so I'm not exactly sick of it. Keyhole in the Sky is my favorite.

Another of the groups that we're damned proud to be working with as their music is just flat out face bashing awesome.

I know a lot of people cite Mouth Without a Head or Age of Betrayal as their favorite track from the band, but I've got to go with Inside looking out (the icon and the ghost).

It's got both the slow and powerful feeling of songs like Mouth without a head, and also has the fast and challenging sections of Age of Betrayal.

So it's the best of both worlds from one of our signature bands.

I'm curious did PS3 ever get any sales for RBN tracks? Is something still in the pipeline? Did I miss it? Was it scrapped? I remember when everything went on sale for $1 for Xbox 360 for the launch of Blitz for 3 months.

It looks like it takes Sony eight weeks or so to make any changes to their store front, so for this sale we can't do anything, but look for something in the near future just for our PSN brothers to make up for the missed sale for the launch of Blitz.

31 days of TAG Dec 5th entry.

This next band was one that one of our authors, Vince, brought to my attention, and I immediately fell in love with the song they decided to give us for the game.

So much so that I wanted to do the venue for the song, as I wanted the venue to be a reflection of the inner turmoil and insanity that was going on in the pov character's mind.

Only problem was I'd never done any authoring, and had only the barest idea of how it worked from all the songs I'd put together that the other guys had authored.

So if you've ever played or watched the song and wondered why the venue was so schizophrenic now you know why. I think my lack of understanding how a venue was supposed to traditionally get put together helped me to create some unique, and it doesn't hurt that the song is just all kinds of awesome

I'm sure there will be, but we won't have much of anything to show. We're concentrating on getting the songs we already have built out of the system before building new stuff for the time being.
