31 days of TAG Dec 8th entry.

This was one of the first bands that signed up with us. Back when we were a struggling group of three or four (wait...that's us now...no matter where you go there you are :P ), and when I heard the song I knew we had to get it into the game.

Really talented band from across the pond (unless of course you're already across the pond then they're uhhh...across the moat?).

Really mellow track with some heavy riffs that lead to our partnership with Paul Norrington and Skratch the Surface...and that lead to some of my favorite bands we've worked with during this whole crazy process.

And it all started with this great tune from a band that took a chance on us.

We've got a couple of what I refer to as TAG bands.

Bands that took a chance with us, went all in and said here's an album, and the fans embraced them, and they've become some of our biggest selling tracks.

Rishloo, Halcyon Way, and the band I'm going to rave about today Strikken.

Now we've got six tracks from Strikken in the store, and another five or six we're currently working on, but this one here has stood head and shoulders above the rest as my personal favorite.

The best compliment I can give it is that it's the best track that Killswitch Engage never recorded.

Powerful vocals, punishing drums, and screaming guitars. This one has it all.

This is Forever in Lies by Strikken!

31 Days of TAG Dec 10th entry (hey I'm caught up!)

This band needs no introduction (unless you're Cipher of course ).

Our friends at Alt Strum handed me the reigns on this (thanks guys) and we took it and ran.

Despite some last minute fun stuff that almost blocked the release of the track, we moved heaven and earth to get the track into the game.

Because a bigger named band like The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus can only do wonders for the RBN's reputation.

And it doesn't hurt that the song is pretty damn catchy to boot.

While this next song isn't indicative of the bands sound as a whole it's still my favorite of the two we worked on for the game.

I know you youngsters out there won't get the reference but this song is the quintessential version of a power ballad.

You get what is usually a metal band doing a slow love song...but just for ****s and giggles the put in an insane guitar shred solo or two. And since this is the 2000's versions of a power ballad we can't forget to put in a double bass drum section that can snap your leg off if you're not ready for it.

This is Lethean Tears by Solution .45 :

Like it, buy it, and maybe we can convince the band to get us some more

Another fantastic track from our partners at Season of Mist!

The more I worked on this song the more it worked its way into my head. It doesn't hurt that it kicks ass

Great dark love song, with killer guitars, and awesome vocals.

Reaching Down is an awesome song. And as for Lethean Tears by Solution .45, that song has been my new favorite for a while now. My family now officially HATES that song on account of how often I pick it.

I just pass them a boilerplate licensing agreement and hardly anyone has any issue with it. They're also much more likely to have the stems on the same computer they were playing Minecraft on twenty minutes ago, so they can dodge that cost. For them, it's very much "why not"? As the names get bigger, you start getting reasons why not, and you wind up with the sort of black hole of medium-sized bands- too small for DLC, but too big to consistently appear in RBN.
Yea, I assumed it was something along those lines.
