Most of the conversation in this thread has been about bigger names. Most of those WTF songs are from independent, basement-studio artists who just want to be in the game- and are much less likely to have significant legal council, or legal concerns. I just pass them a boilerplate licensing agreement and hardly anyone has any issue with it. They're also much more likely to have the stems on the same computer they were playing Minecraft on twenty minutes ago, so they can dodge that cost. For them, it's very much "why not"? As the names get bigger, you start getting reasons why not, and you wind up with the sort of black hole of medium-sized bands- too small for DLC, but too big to consistently appear in RBN.

The Blessthefall tracks have been authored for probably a year now, but the record label went silent on us. So I have no idea.

The BOTDF tracks are currently in the process of being authored.

What's up with the 3 Ghost Brigade songs that were announced? Are they still coming? No rush, I just panicked when I didn't see them in the OP.

Yeah they're still coming. The band's producer has been out of the country (well their country) for an extended amount of time. When he returns they plan on getting us stems.

Is there an ETA for when we can start hearing about that big 2013 announcement? Specifically Fearless Records.

Right now we're trying to get through our huge backlog. It wasn't so bad when there was a ton of us working, and we would have had a lot of it finished at this point. However with only a skeleton crew running right now it's going to take us a lot longer than anticipated to go through what we got. Last thing we want to do is pile on a ton of new stuff on the ton we already have.

If I'd known 3/4's of our staff was going to be unavailable or gone a month after I first mentioned our future stuff I would have waited much longer to announce the stuff we've got brewing for 2013.

That's understandable. Hope we get an update on that sooner than later, but I know why we wouldn't. I'll just keep giving you guys money for your great songs in the meantime.

Thanks for the answer. As you can probably tell from this, I love the band, so I had to check.

Fell behind on my TAG stuff. BAH!

    So without further ado :
31 days of TAG Dec 7th entry.

The second song we've worked on from the amazing Ghost Brigade. I know a lot of people pooh-poohed this song when it was released because it has a mixture of growly vox and clean vox. After the all melodic Into the Blacklight folks were a little grr-argh when they heard the harsh vocals that open the song.

However give the full song a listen to. Fan of harsh vox or not, this song is amazing. So much so that once we had it the authors pretty much dropped everything and authored this in about a 24 hour period.

I really like Into the Blacklight, but at the end of the day this is a much stronger song in my humble opinion.

This is Clawmaster by Ghost Brigade :
