I've heard about this but when are all the songs coming out? All I've seen is ZTO. I've seen tons of test videos on YouTube. Does anyone know when some more songs will come out?

They'll be out once That Authoring Group fine-tunes the craziness enough to be acceptable by enough reviewers. And when they aren't swamped with songs. And when the pipeline gets back up to speed. Or if TAG ever gets so irritated with delays that we say flip-all to the silliness and make them regular ol' bland RB songs, making ZTO the really odd man out.

You'll be able to keep up on the progress of Ziltoid in the official TAG thread, along with all the other artists we have slated.

That is just so unbelievably stupid that they refuse to review the songs because of the "craziness".

God forbid, Devin puts a little extra effort into releasing his songs.

I don't think the problem is that they're refusing to review the songs because of the music itself (including the weirdness Devin Townsend threw in), it's more debates about whether things like making the vocalist randomly say "Boner" or spelling the Planet Smasher's vocals using punctuation should be able to pass peer review because the songs are weird or if they're going too far. I'm in favor of the weirdness, and I know a lot of other people are too, but I do think this is a legitimate thing to have discussions and debates about.

If it's about stuff like that, that's understandable. I thought they were complaining about the whole idea of Ziltoid taking over RB and you have to play the album to prove to him that it's not just for nerds.

In all honesty it's nothing special in terms of fun factor when playing on RB...but dammit it's the single greatest dollar I've ever spent.

From what I can see, it's not the concept of 'fighting' Ziltoid through Rock Band that's causing problems, it's mostly just the 'ghost vocals' (vocals charted where there is nothing in the song), and to a lesser extent the characters used for the Planet Smasher's lyrics.

Venue craziness and the voiceovers not being charted to vocals are fine, it's randomly saying the word 'boner' while I'm trying to enjoy a song that I personally have a problem with, and I believe that others feel the same way.

It works in some cases like this I would say. For instance, if I got Metric's "Black Sheep"(and I didn't), it would feel wrong if I didn't prompt the player to say "Oh yeah" during the "Black sheep go home" intro

Let me tell you one thing, Saying Boner at a party with a bunch of drunk people, would make this the greatest party song alive. (but i understand where this is coming from because id never play it with my parents or siblings or someone else i feel awkward about, about in the same room)

Black sheep is the only song I really enjoy from metric, but I like the Scott Pilgrim version better.
