Similar to how you would on a real drum kit or a setup that caters towards rock band charting?
With rb3 approaching quickly, I think the drum pro mode will give people more trouble than they think. For those who have not already been practicing with a pro setup, it maybe difficult making this transition.
I was just curious how other drummers setup their cymbals. I see a lot of setups that simply have their cymbals directly above their corresponding pads. Although it may be easier to make the transition to pro mode, in my opinion, it's a pretty unrealistic setup. On my setup I have my hi-hat offset to the left of my snare as I would on a real kit. I have my blue cymbal, which is commonly charted as the ride, between my blue and green pad. And I have my green cymbal off above my blue pad. Visually the chart is 'flipped' in regards to order of my blue and green cymbals, but I feel it's a realistic setup that I'm comfortable with.
So how do you have your cymbals setup? Pictures are always welcome
