Here's some I've enjoyed over the years:

Dream Theater - "The Count Of Tuscany"

Great song to get warmed up with. Petrucci uses a lot of different techniques and nothing too difficult to play and very fun. One of the best songs DT has written in over a decade.

Whitesnake - "Still Of The Night"

Guitar driven song with a great riff that's fun to play. Also, fun to load up your guitar with reverb and delay and play the synth bridge.

Van Halen - "Hot For Teacher"

Has a pretty hard to hit stretching taps in the beginning, but after that, the song is amazingly fun. Very upbeat, fast paced song.

Eric Johnson - "Cliffs Of Dover"

Pretty obvious one here. It has a few parts that are difficult to play cleanly (the string skipping section comes to mind), but really is a fun song to learn and practice.

Yngwie Malmsteen - "Disciples Of Hell"

Love the acoustic intro solo to this song.

    Opeth - "Benighted"

Beautiful song to play and sing along with if you can sing.

Queensryche - "Eyes Of A Stranger"

Fun song, nothing much more to say.

    Iced Earth - "The Hunter"

Iced Earth songs are pretty simplistic and this ones no different. Awesome headbanging verse riff though.

    Iron Maiden - "Aces High"

Very, very, very fun song to play with duel guitars.

    Some others:

    Metallica - "The Four Horsemen"
Megadeth - "Holy Wars...The Punishment Due"
    Tool - "Stinkfist"
    Nonpoint - "Circles"
Guns N' Roses - "Mr. Brownstone"
Ozzy Osbourne - "Diary Of A Madman"
    Black Sabbath - "Electric Funeral"
    Judas Priest - "Electric Eye"
    Pantera - "Cowboys From Hell"
All That Remains - "Focus Shall Not Fail" (One of my favorite intros of any song, ever)
    Mudvayne - "Death Blooms"
Fates Warning - "Through Different Eyes"
    Trivium - "Detonation"

The best guitar song has to be either "Johnny B. Goode" or "Purple Haze".

"Johnny B. Goode" is the grand-daddy of guitar songs, and it helped to create so many cool guitar songs. It redefined the guitar, with one of the catchiest riffs in history.

"Purple Haze" is just packed of full mindblowing awesomeness! The riff is legendary, and the rest was just crazy and psychedelic genius from god himself.

If you want a guitar song that's awesome, listen to "Eruption", "Whole Lotta Love" and "Master of Puppets"...SOOOO AWESOME!!!

My favorite is "Stairway to Heaven". It's just perfect, what else can I say?
"It's better to burn out, than to fade away..."

Hate to continue the 'tallica talkin', but for me Creeping Death springs to mind...
