The 1989 Batman. The sequel was quite good, but very long winded. After that would be Batman Begins. I hated every other modern batman film so far. Heath was good, but that movie was just a pure cluterflark.

The Dark Knight, easily. Heath Ledger was awesome, I loved watching him play The Joker.

I voted Returns. The aesthetics and the villains are my favorite of the whole series. Forever really got screwed over by the studio bosses. It had a chance to be better than it was but it got edited.
Nice, the shark scene I referenced in my initial post. Good thing they remembered to bring the shark repellent...in a helicoptor. Potent stuff too, makes 'em explode. "Holy sardine!!!"

As for Joel Schumacher, as much as I hated his Batmans I can't completely dismiss the man, after all he did direct The Lost Boys.

Dark Night, but there was also Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker or something like that, and it was quite good, too. But, you know, mainly because of the Joker.

    And Falling Down.

"I've passed the point of no return. Do you know what that is, Beth? That's the point in a journey where it's longer to go back to the beginning. It's like when those astronauts got in trouble. I don't know, somebody messed up, and they had to get them back to Earth. But they had passed the point of no return. They were on the other side of the moon and were out of contact for like hours. Everybody waited to see if a bunch of dead guys in a can would pop out the other side. Well, that's me. I'm on the other side of the moon now and everybody is going to have to wait until I pop out."

"Did you know, Beth, that in some South American countries it's still legal to kill your wife if she insults you?"
